Ever since I had my bike it does not start first time. If I turn off and on it starts right up. Dealer said they cannot find anything wrong
Has anybody else had this issue?????

For my 2016 R1200RTW I blip the throttle after ignition on but before hitting start button. Seems to improve ability to start time.

Makes no difference if I flip throttle

Should fire up nearly immediately with no need to move the throttle. Return to your dealer, go to a demo and show him the difference.

Side stand switch, took it off and cleaned it, problem went, same thing as you but if left a few seconds would start first time.

I'am going to throw this out, how old is the battery?
Others have reported problems when there batteries start getting weak
15 model it's possible your battery is 3 years old
Keep us posted

Battery is not the problem .
Not starting 1st time unless I turn off and on
It starts right up
Some time outside temp. Makes a difference.

Been many threads over many forums on this issue.
Seems all Voodoo to me.
Some say you need to use the kill button to shut down.
Some say the kickstand to shutdown.
Other say not allowing the dash to come fully up before starting the bike is the reason.
Also some have had this quirk since new others it came on after miles and others had it and it went away.
Just no rhyme to the reason.
Here is a primer for you.

Have observed same symptom, mine is intermittent. I found leaving the starter engaged for just slightly longer than I feel it should be engaged it starts on the first try. But as mentioned above, could just be a characteristic of the bike.

First ride today after setting cam timing. I can say 100% the bike starts super strong on the 1st revolution. I had been having trouble and even needing to push the button twice. I never had this issue but it came on gradually over the last 4 or 5 months.
I can not say 100% what the cure was as I did 3 thrings that could have helped it.
One I set cam timing that was WAY off on left and off on right.
Second I changed plugs to iridium as all this work was a 12k. I do not know if it is the iridium or just getting fresh plugs in.
Third I did clean and lube the side stand switch.
One of those I think had made the difference.
The lighting off of the motor is the best I can remember since owning the bike.
I say it was the timing and the plugs as they go hand in hand.
All I know is I am a happy camper with it now.

Would like to thank everybody giving advice about my starting issue
I no longer have a problem since I always hit the kill switch before turning off ignition.
It now starts everything 1st time.
