BMW R1200RT/R1250RT Forum

I reside in California, USA and have had no luck finding a source to purchase Brembo pads for my 2017 RT.  Does anyone know of any in the US or ??  Other options are there but I would prefer the Brembo.  Input is appreciated.

What about your nearest BMW Motorrad Dealer ?.

Thanks but I can't see buying the same brake pads that have been BMW re-branded for twice the cost

Don,t know about the latest RT but original pads for the Twin Cam are only available from BMW Dealers. Brembo pads from other sources may fit but they are not the same, so please be aware.

For a 2017 RT, Brembo offer a "Genuine" brake pad & the details say,

"Selected by motorcycle manufacturers, this is the sintered material developed by Brembo as OEM equipment. The cases where the catalogue code corresponds exactly to the material used on the specific application are highlighted in the catalogues you will find at your local dealer."

Within the Front or Rear pad link, there is a "Store Locator" button.

Have a 2008 RT and was very disappointed with the original front brakes.
Not performance wise, but by getting the front wheel black with powder.
Replaced them, I notice no performance loss in breaking, and see no brake
powder anymore. Am using EBC Double-H Sintered pads, easy to find just
about anywhere. But that is not what the thread is about so :not speak:

Thanks for your replies.  have decided to go with the CL pads from Beemer Boneyard.  They have good reviews and the price is right.
