Garmin Map Update - 2018.30 is now available.

Thanks for the "heads-up", which GPS device(s) is the update for.

My Zumo 660 latest update is 2018.20.

Its going on my Nav V, also someone has updated the Nav Vi, so maybe not 660. Apparently its too big for the V internal memory.

Updatedmy Nav V at the second attempt. I see that it is not available for the 660.
My maps are now out of synch, don't know what effect that will produce.

Seems to confirm that some GPS devices are updated up to 4 times per year, whilst others are only twice per year.

Looking back over the last 4 years, my 660 has been updated twice per year.

Can the latest update be installed on both the device & computer.

All updated, took about 45 mins. No option to install on computer, it just did its thing. Although if you connect your device to Basecamp you can I believe install the maps on the computer (never done it, so maybe wrong)

There is a link under "options" to either update to unit, unit and computer or computer.
Just been on express with no nav connected and under clicking on the "not connected" nav it says up to date but there is a map options choice. Either reinstall to device or install to computer.

Ok, just seen that, I thought when you started update it used to ask you where you wanted to install the maps, the last 3 updates, mine just did it and didn't give me a choice.

Updated fine, all in one try tho it did take a couple of hours..... Very slow broadband here :nervous:
