keyless fob not detected

R1200RT/2017 - Even with the key fob in the side pockets next to the ignition, less than 12 inches I get the icons saying its having problems detecting the key fob.  Dealer says its the battery, but a brand new battery only lasts a day or two.  Sometimes it will give me the icon that its not detecting the fob at all, same location.  Any suggestions?

That is a warranty issue. The dealer needs to contact BMW mother ship & get it sorted out.
