Hello Team:

Went out of town this weekend to visit a friend and had to leave the bike park on the outside just with a cover that only protects the top of the bike, it rain all night and part of the morning and when I go out the driveway I notice this:

Is this normal? Any way to clean it? Will breaking be affected?

Thank you very much.

Have you stayed in a coastal area where the air is salty? As for cleaning, just ride it and use your brakes a few times and it'll clean itself off ๐Ÿ‘

What are the discs made of, thought they were stainless steel.

Mine does it all the time.
Dead easy to clean:-
1. Ride the bike.
2. Apply the brakes.
3. Job done all shiny again

Could the discs be made from low carbon steel, zinc plated to reduce corrosion.

Never seen that before. Only similar effect has been after the bike has stood  for a while when there can be a light rust type stain under where the pads contact the disc. Of course my car which stands outside in all weathers has rusty discs every morning. I clean any rust off with "Scotchbrite".

Happens to my 15RT if itโ€™s washed and not ridden afterwards to dry
Has to do with carbon steel, nothing wrong as others have said, go ride, will clean up very quickly

Is clean now. I use copper coated scrubbing pads and natural vinegar. It clean very good, The bike seat two night outside in the rain with only a half-cover that protects only the top. Yes, I am in Baytown, TX right now, close to salty water. Getting ready to ride back to Spring, TX. Rode the bike here Friday night in heavy rain and the bike is a mess now.
