It's good enough for Lewis Hamilton.
Better be quick off the line, it's a mid month sale with 35% off,

Plus, it's the latest viscosity range recommended by BMW themselves for pre-LC RT's

Picked up the oil this morning. The “small print” on the container states “Exceeds” A.P.I. SL and as David quite rightly says the 15w-50 spec is correct for the pre Water Cooled Boxers. Price £19.72 for the 4 litres.

"Modern passenger car engine oils contain more and more friction modifiers. While this is the good thing for those segments (reduces wear and fuel consumption) it's bad for the motorcycles, at least for those motorcycles which use engine oil to lubricate their transmission and wet clutch. JASO introduced the MA and MB specification to distinguish between friction modified and non friction modified engine oils. Most four-stroke motorcycles with wet clutches need a JASO MA oil."
Fortunately, the TC RT is like a car engine with a dry clutch.

I might get some of that for my H-D engine with a 'wet' clutch

Found this at OnBuy.com, Castrol Power 1 Engine Oil 15W-50 4T, 4L,
Castrol Power 1 Engine Oil 15W-50 4T, 4L on OnBuy
"Castrol Power 1 4T 15W-50 is designed to optimise performance and protection for modern motorcycles where API SJ and JASO MA2 are recommended.
This product is available specifically for use in BMW motorcycles."
This is the BMW oil spec. for a 2012 Camhead, BMW recommends Castrol.

My first order from OnBuy.com, excellent next day service. The oil turned up today, well packaged and the bonus is, it's API SN which is usually more expensive.
