I currently have my battery on a charger which is maintained at 12.6 v is this a good normal reading for this battery?

Re: Odyssey battery voltage
After the battery charger has been disconnected for at least an hour, a fully charged battery should show 12.6v - 12.8v.
Info. from Yuasa batteries website, http://www.yuasabatteries.com/faqs.php?action=1&id=30
Odyssey say, "a healthy, fully charged ODYSSEY battery will have an OCV of 12.84V or higher at 77ºF (25ºC)."
"ODYSSEY batteries ship from the factory fully charged. If the battery’s open circuit voltage is higher than 12.65V, simply install it in your vehicle and you are ready to go."

Re: Odyssey battery voltage
Mines showing 14.4v 23 amps in a maintain condition on the tender, when I plugged it in after it being stood on the drive for a few hours it was showing 12.9v, that was after a few ignition cycles when moving the bike so the alarm didn't go off. Not sure whether it's good, bad or indifferent? It's just something to compare.
The GS 'is' the better bike :-)
Re: Odyssey battery voltage
Thanks guys for the replys il hold on to this battery hopefully has a bit of life in it yet.
Re: Odyssey battery voltage
Battery looks OK. However, after recent start of my RT, before it kicked over, lights went out, dash display went off and then started. Still new to RT, so not sure if this normal. So, just got the following on offer from Amazon as a ‘just in case’. Looks OK for £25.

Re: Odyssey battery voltage
For pre-LC RT's, MDS offer this Yuasa battery for fifty quid, https://www.mdsbattery.co.uk/yt19bl-bs- ... ttery.html, if there is any doubt, for that price, it might just be worth putting a new battery on the bike.
Re: Odyssey battery voltage
That's a great price for a Yuasa battery thanks again everyone for the replys.

If you would like to stick with the Exide (BMW) battery, this is a very good price, https://www.tayna.co.uk/motorcycle-batt ... ide/51913/Dogbreath wrote:Bought the Yuasa, does the job.
