Hi all
Last week front tpms was taking a long time to register pressure. Today wouldn't register at all then general warning light and Low pressure light up yellow .Tyre pressure has not gone down.
Manual says sensor defective or system error. Question:- is there anyway to reset sensors or does it have to go to BMW ?
P.s it's an lc .
tpms light's yellow
Re: tpms light's yellow
Someone else with TPMS problems!! I’ve recently been experiencing the same issue with just the rear sensor pressure reading. I’m not aware of any reset as such. Some brave souls have previously stripped out the sensors to perform a (sealed) battery replacement with satisfactory results. I’ve consulted my local dealer who’s going to replace the rear sensor, as a hard fault was recorded during their workshop fault diagnostics on my bike, with the actual sensor found knackered, as opposed to just being a duff battery.
Re: tpms light's yellow
Presumably your dealer will go ahead and change the sensor (in both wheels) without dispute?

For info my front was cupped quite badly but still had tread left. After more surfing and finding threads on BMW cars fitting winter tyres, realised this could be the cause. Changed front and system has reset and working again.

Good. Glad to hear all appears okay now! Mind you, as and when your bike is next back at the dealers, any TPMS related faults will flag up on their diagnostic computer. It’ll be interesting to hear if any hard faults are logged, and if it carries on performing without further fault.
