Anyone tried using the motoscan app on their android phone as a much less expensive alternative to the GS-911 unit?

Re: Motoscan app
Looking at the screen shots, it seems that it doesn't support the R series with the canbus. However, looking at the app page on Google Play it seems that it is supported. Also they indicate that they now support the ABS flush procedure. Interesting, I may give it a punt.

Re: Motoscan app
Sounds like some guy developed the app in his spare time, and does his best to support it. Default language is german, but he is adding more support for english. I'm sure it will evolve and become better over time. The developer should think about doing a kickstarter or gofundme page, I'm guessing a lot of BMW enthusiasts would help finance bringing this to market.mack62 wrote: Looking at the screen shots, it seems that it doesn't support the R series with the canbus. Re: Motoscan app
Thanks Tony. The price of this unit isn't much less than the GS-911 if I'm understanding what I'd need to buy. The idea with the motoscan app is that you just need your phone, and an inexpensive bluetooth adaptor that can connect to the 10pin socket.SurfCity16RT wrote: Have you look at www.duonix.de for the scanner? Re: Motoscan app
Here's a post from another forum that explains this pretty well.

Re: Motoscan app
I have the MotoScan Ultimate App. I have primarily used it to reset my service indicator. Ask if you have any questions
I've been using it on 2011 R1200RT-P
