Hi there, just back from having the ol' bike (2018) serviced. Chester Motorrad are (were this morning) doing a deal on servicing. Normal service is about £200 (something). The deal is to bring forward gearbox oil and brake fluid change from next year, they don't charge for the engine oil and filter.
So, have more done but pay less, £149.31.
This means next year I won't have to have those items serviced so the service should be cheaper. And as I'm keeping the bike for at least another year ('til April 2020) it make sense.

Is your bike a 2018 or, as per your signature, a 2014 ?


If my local dealer was making the same kind of offer I would take it up - my bike is due a service on mileage but, since I probably won't do a handful of miles before Spring has sprung I intend to leave it until the better weather arrives.


I've done over 22,000 miles in two years and I'm hoping to keep it until 2020 and possibly beyond.

Looks like I just got ripped off by Chandlers Brighton......promise of a full valet which apparently was a web mistake, so booked and then they said they could not do.

Paid £350+ taking a set of back pads with me, brake fluid done as well, 2018 bike 6000 miles service.

Not using them again....will go to Alton or Tunbridge Wells
