Sena 20s Headset Quality

Hi All
I am very disappointed in the sound quality from the Sena 20S system. The volume is weak and the sound is crackley and distorted.
I have an RT Iconic 1200 and the sound quality on the dash speakers is good therefore the radio reception is good.
I thinking of investing in an alternative set of helmet ear speakers?
Has anyone had the same problem and overcome it?
All ideas greatfully received.
Thanks
David

It’s not the Sena it’s the poor quality Bluetooth from the bike.  You don’t mention the year of your RT but turning the bass and treble all the way down helps a bunch.  You can also make volume changes in your menu items to increase with speed.

Many thanks for your reply.
My RT is 2016.
I’ll try your suggestions.

I had a radio on my 2014RT. I found the quality fine, not hi fi, but perfectly acceptable. I changed my speakers to Torx x pro aftermarket speakers, which improved things. I don't have a Sena though, using a Scala Packtalk

I have 2015 BMW R1200RT, and Sena 20S. The sound quality is very good.
Here is how i connect the Sena 20S, Nav 5 or 6 and phone to the MC:

Did the following:
Unpaired helmet on MC, factory settings on Sena 20S, unpaired everything on Nav 6 and unpaired on the phone. Then I started pairing the Sena 20S A2DP stereo with the MC, (the Sena phone button for 5sec and jog dial within 2 seconds). Then I paired Sena 20S  with Nav 6. (Jog dial for 6sek and phone button within 2sek.) So I paired the Nav 6 with the phone.

I always use moulded ear plugs when riding, and then the bass tone getting better.

Many Thanks

Are you recommending that I cancel the Sena factory settings?
How do I do that?

I look forward to hearing from you.

Thanks
David
