If the coolant is low, what fluid should be added?

Is this for the 1250RT in your signature line? If so, is yours low? Why? If it is, i'd take it to your dealer and sort it. Most bikes never get topped up. It just doesn't disappear. If it does, there is a problem.R2K wrote: If the coolant is low, what fluid should be added?

This is for a 2014 RT as stated in the OP which is owned by a friend. When doing an accessory installation we noticed it was slightly low, and wanted to top it off. I thought just add bmw antifreeze but watched a video that called for using distilled water and antifreeze in a 50/50 mix. Wanted to get some opinions from others. It’s 5 years old so I could see a small amount of evaporation with heat and time.bandytales wrote: Is this for the 1250RT in your signature line? If so, is yours low? Why? Not unusual for the coolant to be a bit low. First if it is between the min and max mark it is not low, just not to the full mark.R2K wrote: This is for a 2014 RT as stated in the OP which is owned by a friend.
