Hi all


Before I say anything, can I say thank you for the friendly and riding experience with you all.  Enjoyed the Shrewsbury ride. 


Right...down to our next meet and ride.


Date is 24th and 25th August.  Meeting at McDonalds  in Garforth for 9:30am

Stay over Saturday night at either local b&b..will need to see what places. 



Some routes have been suggested and I will look over and get back to you all. 


More important.  Could we get names who can make it please.  If your not sure please wait until your sure. 


Everyone is welcome and I know we will all enjoy again.

Hi Dave, please can you confirm that I have understood correctly what is being proposed.

On Saturday 24th August 2019, there will be a ride out leaving McDonalds in Garforth at 9:30am. Is the ride to be circular, i.e. returning to Garforth for a local overnight stay or heading to another destination for Saturday night & returning to Garforth on Sunday 25th.

Just a thought, keeping the discussion open, may encourage others to join the debate/ride out. Otherwise, just post up what is planned & folks can decide if they like the look of it & wish to attend or not.

The 24th/25th weekend is followed by Bank Holiday Monday 26th. From experience, folks may either have other plans or wish to take advantage of the last BH before Christmas.

I need to look at the routes. 


Suggestions are always good.  After all this is a group activity not solo


We have the dates, we now need to know who is willing to ride on those dates.  The details will be sorted shortly as to where and stops etc. 


I understand it's a bank holiday w/e but we can all enjoy it together. 


I'm willing.  We just need others too.

If we haven't already done it, the Garforth to Hornsea day ride is a circular route.

For an overnight stay, how about Garforth to Peterborough to check out the accommodation etc. for the 2020 Annual RT Meet. It could become a "Northern Monkeys" meet "Southern Softies" night out.
A few from down south may be interested to boost the numbers. I'll forward you some suggested routes from Garforth to Peterborough & back.

That's ok. Route will enable you to return home.

Ok  i have created some routes.. with stay over options.. not sure why we can't attach routes here it only needs the extension adding to allowed file types... so email me i can share routes.

For a circular route, how about "The Wolds" around York, with a railway theme. Taking in the Derwent Valley Light Railway & the Yorkshire Wolds Railway.

Could do some of the "Lincolnshire Wolds", with an overnight stay in Skegness. Including a visit to the Dambusters Inn at Scampton.

Any other suggestions/ideas would be most welcome, thank you.
