Has anyone fitted one of these?

Central locking for satnav/gps
Re: Central locking for satnav/gps
Wish Bmw had done this from the start
I fixed mine for 25cents, that is the cost of a stainless sheet metal screw
Install took 30 minutes
1 remove windshield
2 drill small hole in push button next to glareshield
3 screw sheet metal screw in, button won’t push into
Glareshield now
4 reinstall windshield
5 if removal is necessary, raise windscreen and using short screwdriver remove sheet metal screw
I did this 4 years ago on my 15RT, Park in some sketchy areas on occasion, no issues so far with thief

Yes. It's expensive, but it works well. Fits 1250 as well, since there are no bodywork modification in that area.
T6Pilot's clever solution would not work for me, as I am forever removing the SatNav to download new routes.

John

Ah, excellent news. Thanks for that. It certainly seems like something BMW should have done from the start.beemerboy9 wrote:
