BMW R1200RT/R1250RT Forum

Hi, just a though, anyone else going to the Bike Show at Birmingham NEC on Sat 16th Nov. If we were to meet at the BMW RT bike on the BMW stand at, say, 4pm. Just to see that we exist and what some of us look like. Maybe even take a group photo (or not). Or am I dealing with a lot of 'computer bots' all this time. No need to be wearing a white carnation flower or reading a hard copy of this post or anything as dramatic as that. Just a thought!

Or attend annual meet and get to know other members and make new friends. Probably be going Thursday myself.

I'm planning to be there on Friday 22nd, if anyone else is also visiting the show that day.

Maybe. 16th is the only day I can go as In on duty for the rest of the show days.

Frank123, that is a great idea.

I will be attending on Saturday 16th would be pleased to meet other members of the forum. I would suggest meeting at the BMW Insurance desk on the BMW stand as crowding round the bike would not be welcomed by other show guests.


If we met at, say, 2 p.m. we could get a drink in the cafeteria next to the BMW stand.


Saturday is a good day for me as I travel by train - and the fare from London Euston to Birmingham International was £5.60 each way (8 times cheaper than a weekday  ^-^ ).


Anybody else up for this Saturday meet? If there are a lot us then we could meet at the cafeteria itself.

Hi 2 pm at the BMW Insurance desk is good for me as I'll be there all day. A cup of coffee, no problem. That's what I do best ... biking between coffee shops.

Frank, I will be wearing a very red t-shirt.

I'm planning to go also this Saturday 16th with my wife.
I do my best to be at 2pm near by BMW stand. Can't promise as things may happen, but I'll be aiming for it.

Can't tell what I'll be wearing really :-)

Don't have anything with BMW badge, I have however old Kawasaki Z1000SX hoodie. Maybe that will do? :D

Hi just to close this one off 'the best made plans of mice and men, etc' pity just didn't work out this year. Maybe next year.
