Strap-on Storage Cubby w/backrest

Post by ezymount »

I have been considering the design and build of a storage cubby with built-in adjustable backrest. It would secure via quick release straps and be ultimately removable in seconds. Interior width would be typically as wide as rear factory seat. Height will be determined, based on what is required to place backrest at the best possible position. Access would be thru rear facing, or left side facing waterproof lid (to be determined). Unit would be paintable to match bike color, as desired. Backrest upholstery can be custom matched to existing seat. All necessary hardware will be SS. This unit will have a ‘proprietary design’ base, that will allow secure placement on a factory, or aftermarket rear seat section.

I’ve got a Corbin “smuggler” on my rt. Love it for its moderate storage space, small lower spine support and its sporty look.
