Hi all,
Purchased a new Mineral metallic matt grey R1250RT last week.  Traded in a 2019 K1600GTLE.  First impressions are very favourable.  I'm enjoying the 70KG weight loss (bike not me).  Biggest surprise is the very usable top gear roll on performance.  Wrong end of the season for much serious distance work.  Will be lucky to get to the magic 600 miles this year!

Thanks midnight, got a decent deal.  I reckon the dealer was keen to move the 2020 RT's to make way for the new model coming next year?  I had to wait 3 weeks from doing the deal to picking up the bike while the frame stickers were sent over from BMW.  The dealer has given me the cost of the first 2 services for my inconvenience, which I though was very fair.

Welcome! I've always found that this forum is one of the most friendly and informative.

I've just bought a Mineral Grey too! Although, there are no additional driving lights on mine. I was happy to get the colour-matched topbox, but I think it's a bit mean-spirited of BMW not to include the brakelight!
About 800 miles on mine now. Running-in service done last week. I'm impressed with it so far.

Cheers RT's, I was led to believe that the mineral grey matt bikes were all the same, end of line, top spec!  Obviously not.  I agree, a bit mean not include the (essential) additional lighting.  I think the increased visibility of an approaching bike is an important safety feature.

Cheers Gavg, you have me there, I do enjoy a dram from Skye.  Nice place to ride too, but sometimes a challenge to find somewhere to stay! :alas:

Apologies GavG I didn't answer your question regarding frame stickers.  There is a small sticker on a frame tube just above the front suspension unit.  I can't read the detail but The dealer would not let the bike go until they were in place.  I guess it's BMW being very particular about conforming to standards.

Last time in Skye a group of us booked the Bunkhouse, next to the Talisker distillery, a few years back.. not a good idea to have 6 old blokes full of beer sleeping in bunk beds in one room  :wonder: . And I thought it woud be the snoring that would keep us awake!!
