2018 R1200 RT Firts impressions

At last I’ve my “new” 2018 RT.
I’ve riden a few kms round the mountains of Madrid over the last two days. Foggy, coldish and wetish weather.
Don’t know why it has taken me so long to get an RT.
Before trying any RT, I used to think that it was too big of a bike to really enjoy. Mistake! Is not that big really, only a bit wide but that’s fine if you arent planning to use it in the city or filtering very often.
The engine is smooth, for a boxer that is, and powerful, once you get over 3.5/4 rpm. Very confortable, keeps you dry and warm.
The cockpit is great, lots of info and very easy to read. It’s almost car like. Quite easy to navigate through all of the myriads of gadgets that come wirh the bike.
Suspension and brakes are truly amazing. Changing from road to dynamic mode transforms the ride in the twisties. Rain mode gives you added security when wet.
Aerodinamics are pretty well thought of, very germanic!
My bike is finished in carbon black with some chrome scents. Looks very handsome indeed!
To summ up the bike is Bloody Brilliant (to me)
