Hi,
I have a 2018RT without the pro headlight which needs one of the sidelight/position bulbs replacing. Not being blessed with 6 inch fingers is the a knack to getting it out? Manual suggests using pliers, but does the light just pull out or are there clips to release?
Thanks
Gary

The Rider's Manual, https://manuals.bmw-motorrad.com/manual ... 717_01.pdf (page 157) describes how to replace the bulb for parking light.
Re: Sidelight bulb
Thanks for the link, but I just can't get my fingers in far enough to remove the sidelight. Haynes manual suggests using pliers but doesn't say if it just pulls out or if clips need squeezing to release it. I'll have another go after Xmas.

Re: Sidelight bulb
Looking at the photos in the Rider's Manual, the bulb holder is just a push fit into the headlight unit. No clips or tools required. The Haynes manuals are not always 100% correct.

Correct !!.
By the way, nice to see that the Service Entries in the W.C. Manuals have a list of the some of the major maintenance tasks in a "tick box" format.
