Airman tour air compressor

Post by Talisker »

Looking for a spot of help here please folks, electrical expertise to be precise.
I have a new Airman tour air compressor.  It is supplied (UK spec) with a male cigarette lighter power connection.  I don't want to fit a female ciggy lighter connector to my bike.  I'd like to remove the connector and solder on crocodile clips (To allow use on any bike).
As the 2 cables are not colour coded, my question is, how do I determine which of the 2 cables is positive and which is negative.
Thanks in anticipation.
