R1250RT Factory Alarm

[size=2px]If anyone has the time to do an idiots guide to the BMW alarm setting using the keyfob......... Ive read the manual a few times [/size] :-\ .. would be appreciated, ferry mode etc, I have set mine to auto arm because I gave up with the fob.

Mines a 15 to arm it just hold the button till it chirps done.

Push the lock button on the remote twice quickly the horn will sound twice and the lights will flash. Bike is armed

Thanks for the replies...
I think I will leave the auto function on
So, if I just want to get into a pannier or move the bike in the garage how do I disarm it without switching the ignition on... or is it easier to just switch on ignition.
Also interested in how to put the ferry mode on? May need that in the distant future
ps. my fob has two buttons, one with the logo and one with an arrow?

Using the button with the logo:
1 press: Locks2 press: Arms the alarm, indicators flash twice and tone sounds3 press: Turns off the motion sensors (ferry mode) indicators flash three times
Use the other button, single press, to deactivate alarm and unlock.

Thanks Graham, thats simple enough. I think I have been having issues because mine is only the SE model without the central locking... 1 press wasnt doing anything if I remember correctly. Will have a play with it at the weekend, cant be bothered going out in the snow......
