The above video suggests that the ContiRoad is marketed to sit between the RoadAttack 3 and ContiMotion.
Haven't found a pair deal but look like bought separately, they'll be around £240.

Continental - ContiRoad Tyres
Re: Continental - ContiRoad Tyres
It seems they're not marketed for heavier sport tour bike like the RT?
I don't see them in their recommended section for 1200 RT bikes.

Re: Continental - ContiRoad Tyres
Having used non-recommended Michelin Pilot Road 1's on a Camhead without experiencing any problems, are tyres marketed for heavy weight bikes really necessary.

I suppose it all depends on what you call heavy. Compared to the two K1200LT’s I owned (353kg dry weight) my RT is quite nimble.
Also, like David I have never had a problem with non Heavy Weight Specific, ie GT spec, tyres. In fact I prefer the normal spec tyres for a more compliment ride.

Re: Continental - ContiRoad Tyres
My next pair of tyres may well be Michelin Pilot Road 2. A version code "B" is specified for the rear, now not available, it wouldn't stop me using them.

Continental describe the Contiroad as a budget tyre, which will be probably have been made in the Far East compared to the German-made RoadAttack. So there will be compromises, but it could be doubtful that one would notice them in everyday riding.

Country of Manufacture Code for this tyre is MY
I note that the Continental description includes the wording "Engineered" in Germany, which sounds like designed and specified. Mind you that wouldn't bother me. I've been using Korean tyres on my car for the last 40,000 miles and they are great.
