RT Models & Specifications (UK)

This question has been asked of the RT, "Would be interested to know what percentages of spec. levels purchased in UK."

Here is your opportunity to participate in a very meaningful UK survey.

The models listed in the poll are Hexhead, Camhead, Wethead (1200) & Shifthead (1250). As far as I know, the specs. were Base, SE or LE.

If I've missed any models/specs. please let me know. I'll kick it off with a Camhead SE.

The spec. of my Camhead is shown on the (used) sales invoice and written in the Rider's Manual.

This VIN Decoder https://www.mdecoder.com/ can be used to list the spec./accessories etc. but unfortunately doesn't say whether it's a Base, SE or LE model.

I've put mine down as an LE. Not sure if that's right but it's got all the toys.

There you go, "Our survey says", someone has a Shifthead - SE. Now the question is, does it have Gearshift assist pro. fitted or not.

Finally got the link to work with help from David, mine is really something special, it’s a Left Hand Drive version with the weight distribution biased for the UK cambered roads. Still don’t know what the model is though. I think the SE, LE stuff has been thought up by BMW UK as a marketing gimmick. Scold me if I’m wrong.

Found this MCN Camhead review, https://www.motorcyclenews.com/bike-rev ... 00rt/2010/

Only base model and SE version listed, no mentioned of an LE.

Does anybody buy the base model?

Just looked on the Motorad UK website and a new model basic RT in white comes in at £15800. When you look at the  specs it seems quite reasonably equipped.

Not sure how much an LE model with fancy paint would cost but would guess around another 4 grand.

Could I live without electronic suspension, gear assist pro (or whatever it's called) metallic paint and chromed bar ends? Yes, I think I could for a few thousand quid saving.

I would add tyre sensors sensors for peace of mind (even though I check them manually).

Make that another 5K, an LE is 19,105 + 1,740 for the Option 719 paint job = 20,845.
