2021 RT power sockets

Hi can anyone tell me if I can run a portable tyre inflator from any of the two power sockets on the new RT. I am off on a trip to bonny Scotland in the not to distant future and want to take a small pump in case of a flat tyre. Some pump manufacturers seem to warn against using their products with the can bus system. Suppose I could always hook up directly to the bikes battery but just wondered if there is an easier option. Thanks

From what I can see in an online Rider's Manual, the current rating of the onboard socket(s) is 12A.
What is the current draw of the tyre inflator/pump. If in doubt, just go directly to the battery via a fused lead.

MY2017 only 10amp, most pumps will trip. Dynaplug one claims to work on old model 10 amp.. Rocky creek one draws 5 amps running but can spike to 12amp think on start up.

Hi,
why not take a couple of the small CO2 bottles used in some of the puncture kits. if the tyre is flat it is for a reason.

I have been using a small pump for may years now and it works perfectly from the socket. Nippy Normans will have a pump.
