BMW Fork Stem R1250RT

Hi everyone.....just picked up a 2021 R1250RT Option 719 yesterday.....first Boxer I've ever owned after a long line of Triumph triples. 


Quick question I'm hoping you can help me with.


Is the fork stem in this picture (the BMW logo) able to be removed? And if yes, how do you remove it?


And for bonus points.....does anyone know if a Quad Lock fork stem mount will fit in there?

The parts diagram shows item #11 as a replacement part.

Now that I know the part is removable [size=2px]I can at least talk to the dealer and find out exactly how. I'm hopeful there will be a typical fork [/size]stem[size=2px] type setup under there. I'll give [/size]Quad[size=2px] Lock themselves a try too. [/size]
