Is Multi Controller available on the 2012 Airhead?

I have the Nav 5 on my 2012 Airhead. Is it possible to retrofit the multi controller to my bike to control the Nav? Real OEM suggests the part is available, but I'm not sure if it's just 'plug and play'?

This thread from BMWLT,
https://www.bmwlt.com/threads/gps-for-2013-rt.184923/ suggests that, on a Camhead, the multi controller does not control the Nav.
