Here's a new one to me, Northumberland 250, https://www.google.com/maps/d/viewer?mi ... 749473&z=9

Might be of interest to anyone looking for a tour in the NE of England.

Setting off to do it today with an overnight stay at Berwick-upon-Tweed. I'm 55 - 60 miles from the start/finish.

Interesting. And a lot closer to me than Scotland. https://nland250.com/

Completed the Northumberland 250 over the last 2 days. I'd certainly recommend it, might even make an RT meet one year!

Thank, I will have to give it a go. I might have two overnight stops to allow for travelling from home and allow for photo stops.

We just did the circular road ride without too many stops or taking in the many POI's.

I enjoy photography and have friends and relatives in the area so may need to extend it to keep everyone happy ;)

From my experience of riding the N250, have created a new Garmin BaseCamp route of exactly 250 miles. If you would like a copy, you'd be very welcome. I've reversed the direction just in case I do it again.

The start/finish point is the Centre of Britain Hotel in Haltwhistle. The first annual RT meet in 2016 was based at the CoB Hotel, if it's still the same standard etc., I would highly recommend it.

Whilst I applaud attempt at promoting tourism, I do hope the route & area do not turn it into another NC500 (or as I've heard it nicknamed nowadays, the WC500).

Did that route last year with some friends and really enjoyed it, some wonderful scenery
going up the coast and along the forest roads.
