Post by burridge01 »

I'm looking to add a rack to the top of my topbox but am not prepared to pay the NN price.Does anyone know which rack fits the 49L box.
Thanks for any advice/help.

Wunderlich fits perfect, but not cheap. I have one on my RT ,but previous owner took the hit on cost.

Thanks Smiley but I've ordered the 1 David linked to.The rack you have linked would cost over £200 by the time you pay import duty and handling fees, far to rich for me.

Thanks to David for the link.

If someone comes across this thread at a later date,a word of advice. Don't fit the rack to far back on the box,you will hit the inner housing inside the box.I didn't think of it and have literally just missed the housing.
Happy with the result and will come in handy for the extra water proofs n stuff👍

Thanks for the feedback, eventually found some instructions, S150.indd (givi.it)

Which hole configuration did you use. Looks like the trick is to make sure that fixing points (A) are close to the padded backrest.

Not sure what the link is David but it doesn't work on my laptop.I used A+C.The template that comes with the rack is no good for the BMW box, nothing lined up.Easy enough to place on the lid and line up,couple of measurements and alls good.I marked the spots with tippex down the rack bores, when putting it all together you do get a bit of free play on all the bolts ,making it easy to put together.
