Looking to add a pair of spots on the LC,is it possible to wire into the auxiliary socket on the right.Any one done it or similar.

Apparently there is a factory socket on the left behind the front side fairing thats for the spots

Thanks for the reply sakm,anybody shed a bit more light on that.Is it plug n play with an adapter plug or the like.

Don't see why not, the aux. socket is rated at 10A (total for all sockets). I've used an aux. socket to provide a switched live for a sat. nav. and Autocom.

But reading it you need the auxiliary lights turning on via the diagnostic tool

Thanks for the replies gents,I've ordered the Haynes manual for it's wiring diagram and I'm led to believe that there's a spare auxiliary socket on the bike(somewhere)I've already gone into 1 with the Tomtom, maybe it's the 1 sakm refers to.I don't really want to have to take the bike to Cannons to get the lights activated.


The other issue is what spots to get,i nearly fell out the digger when i saw the cost of the BMW 1's and some of it's rivals I'm wading through the other's on offer but any suggestions welcome budget for everything around £200.

The bike has one aux. (DIN) socket as identified on the RHS at the front. If the bike is not fitted with a second rear aux. (DIN) socket, there will be a plug/socket tucked away under the pillion seat/rear carrier area.

The factory socket on the LHS at the front is as per the pdf provided for the BMW lights.

Having looked long and hard I've bitten the bullet and ordered these.
