R1250 RT 2018 VS 2021 Standard version

Does anyone know what are the differences in accessories on the new one?


Is it worth changing the exhaust?

Not sure what you call a standard version, Europe, UK and the US bundle packages and extras slightly differently. But options that are different are, 21 - TFT display, LED headlamps, linked brakes work slightly differently, different fairing, but underneath the same bike. Also as an option adaptive cruise control on 21 bikes as an extra.


Exhaust wise, no difference, you can fit an aftermarket can, but an Akra can offers no performance increase, but it is lighter than the standard can and changes the exhaust note, but is a £900 extra.

Apart from the TFT screen and the shift cam engine the look of the bike and led lights i found there is not much change to the bike from 2018 , why do you want to change the exhaust ? the way i look at these days is if you want a fully loaded bike ie: luggage , top box , fog lights , engine bars , look around and purchase one with the requirements you want , if you fork out for these additions do you get the return when you sell the bike ? i don,t think so .Good Luck

He is talking about the 2018 1250 which has the same engine, late 2018 was the first 1250 release model year. So all 1250s have shift cam engines.

Remember that the 2021-on bikes have the steering set at a steeper (quicker-reacting) angle, by a massive 1.5 degrees.  To quote a friend who has had several RT's "At the first corner I nearly threw it in the hedge!"

Really. Where is this documented. I have 2015, 2019, 2020 RTs and 2021 RTs and haven’t noticed any difference. But then again I’m not a riding god
