Is it possible to find the build number of a bike, the R1250RT I get delivered on Friday was produced on 2018-11-08, when did BMW start building them?

Hi Glen,
According to this press release production started on the 1st Sept '18. Serienanlauf translates as 'Series start-up'.
https://www.bmwgroup-werke.com/berlin/e ... nd-RT.html
My R1250RT was registered on the 24th Oct '18 and has a Frame Number ending 0745. For it to have been manufactured, shipped from Germany to the UK, then to the distributor, uncrated, PDI etc by the 24th Oct means I guess mine's a first or certainly early batch built.
P.S. Where are you in Shropshire, I'm a few miles south of Shrewsbury.

Hi Capt Sisko, I'm in Newport, been here for nearly 8 years now.
My bike has a production date of 8 Nov 18 with a frame number ending in 71206, I've only had it 3 weeks, but loving it so far.

I have sent MikeS a PM that as soon as I can arrange a kennel for the dog, I will be popping up to Dumfries in July.
