The new to me 2018 RT has a few UV damaged area of black plastic. Some parts will restore with heat, other areas which are a different type of plastic wont. Is there a method for perminently getting it to look black again?

Cheers

I've used Wùrth on loads of stuff. Brings plastic back to black lovely. It will last a long time and just top it up when needed. 1 tube did my Mwb Sprinters bumpers front and back and the side trim both sides,2 coats . It's not cheap but you will get a good result and it goes a long way.

Word of caution, do not get it on any paintwork, it is a bugger to get off

Gtechniq C4 has worked for me. A small amount goes a long way.

I don't know if you can get this across the pond, but it has worked very well for me.

A heat gun on low temp will turn faded black to look like new. A temp fix is WD40 and alike
