BMW R1200RT/R1250RT Forum

Evening all,
Can a 2018 R1200RT be trickle charged directly to the battery, only asking as I've seen one or two comments that canbus systems wont tolerante this?

Yes its fine mine is plugged in to the optimate constantly when not in use with no issues

^^^^I'll secong that, Mines plugged into an optimate direct to the battery without issue.

No problem.I don't have any electric in my garage and run an optimate DC 2 DC.Wired strait to the battery and works a treat.

I'm already happily using C-Tek on my classics and partners Triumph Street Triple, I'd rather not change.
