Winter Maintenance

Now that the weather has started to turn here in the UK I tend to put the bike away for the majority of it.

As a result I take the time to do some maintenance on the bike. I have just had all fluid done by BMW this was just to satisfy the 2 year warranty the plan now is to change the air filter and check the valve clearances and timing.

I like to go through the rest of the bike with a fine tooth comb and if I do find any issues they will be sorted

I also like to remove as much of the fairings as I can and just have a general clean up too

I have also just ordered so radiator guard's too after discovering so slight damage to one of the radiators

They also need a little bit of a clean too!

I always believe it pays to keep on to of things like this to try and prevent issues in the future

Does any one else like to fettle over the winter and if so do you have much plans for this year?

Nice set up you have there sakm, especially the log burner :yay: I have a paraffin heater in mine ;)
I don't have as much room as you in my garage as I have a couple of other bikes in there. But I do like to tinker all year round and keep on top of things.Been housebound for the best part of 6 months so miss my forays into the garage.
