Do the Tubular Handlebars Change the RT Riding Position?

Does anyone know if the optional tubular handlerbars change the RT riding position by being higher and wider than the standard handlebar? I read the 2023 R1250R will have optional tubular handlebars that are higher and wider and wondered if that applied to the RT as well. I emailed a few local dealers and got every answer possible>>no change; sportier/lower; higher/wider>>so no help there. I tried BMW Canada for help and they said "we cannot help, ask a dealer" so clearly no help there either. I would love 'higher and wider' as I am coming from an adventure bike and really like the upright seating they provide, but am just not a fan of the high seat height.

I am ordering a RT shortly and would appreciate help from anyone that knows.

Thank you,
RET

Never heard of that over here in England , i would have a good test ride before you choose !!!!! then you are sure if the riding position suits your own needs before you fork out your hard earned cash . Quality parts to adjust bars and footrests are not cheap !!!!!!

Its on option list, no way to test ride, same as high or low seat options. Not fitted to test bikes. Its a bloody good question and gobsmacked that BMW Canada cant be bothered to answer a customers question.

This website, https://www.mv-motorrad.de/en/MV+Handle ... 0RT+LC.htm suggests the following:

"You have the option of ordering the 1250RT with cast handlebars or tubular handlebars. With tubular handlebars, you automatically think that it comes closer to the driver. But that's not the case, it's actually 18mm further away from the rider."

David the link you have posted looks nothing like the BMW option.

It would seem that even with tubular handlebars, folks are still fitting bar risers too.

Don't know but these will, https://www.shopbmwmotorcycle.com/produ ... bar-risers

Unlike some other bar risers, the Helibar risers are fitted with a peg to stop them rotating.

"Our unique design incorporates a key safety feature to keep the bars from rotating too far forward or rearward in the top triple tree."

Thank you to everyone that has replied and added information. So far l have learned the tubular option possibly move the bars 18mm forward, but nothing yet on height and width. I wonder how many people have gone for the tubular option and why they pay extra for them [almost $300 here in Canada]? I believe they are rare as dealers do not seem to know anything about the tubular bars.
