Gear issues
Gear issues
Hi all. I have a 2017 r1200rt thst has just started not letting me change gear. Fisrt ok, 2nd ok then third gear lever feels spongy and wont gp into gear. Then it does, same with 4th. Sometimes i csnt change down either. This first happened last week but then worked ok to work. On way home from woek I had no issues at all. Went to get fuel today and its doing it again. Any advice or help greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

Re: Gear issues
Have you added/changed anything on the bike.?
I found similar problems when I added a side stand foot extender, then discovered gear change problems, on examination I found that in the raised position it fouled the gear lever.

Re: Gear issues
Are you fully releasing the shift pedal between shifts? I got some new boots and found that when wearing them, they impinged slightly on the shifter in my normal rest position on the foot pegs. That prevented me from shifting to the next gear.
