Ceramic Coated my '23 RT

After detailing my RT, I ceramic coated it with Avalon King Armor Shield IX. Very easy to do, (wipe on, let sit for a minute or so, and wipe off) it's that easy. The finish looks like a wet clear-coat and is supposed to last two years. I did everything, the paint, black plastic, windshield on both sides, rims, cables, frame, exhaust, and my helmets, it looks great.

Looking to do the same to my 2023 blue RT with same product. Motor32, any surfaces you would have avoided? Other tips?

Everything but the tires, seat, and brake disks. Use a paint foam brush to get into the tight spaces. The little glass bottle is very slippery and is easy to knock over or drop, use caution with it. Do the screen inside and out first while the cloth is fresh then you have access to behind the screen area.

Good luck,

Steve

Done it! Looks great. Will do the top case when it comes in. Take your time and get it good and clean and clay bar first.

I've taken the plunge and bought some. They do a silly quiz on there that gives a bit of discount so I got the pre shampoo/wash and micro wipes, came in at £85 odd with free delivery. Was a little hesitant at 1st because I have paint protection film on a few bits but the blurb says it's compatible. Also looked around the Web and it gets good reviews.

Well worth the price, you'll love how it makes the bike look.

I have a question, did anyone have film protection on the panniers.Do you leave it on or peel it off,not keen on removing it.

It's really amazing, how shiny it is.

I needed to find out about covering the protective film on the panniers and found this blurb
https://uk.avalonking.com/blogs/news/ul ... d-scooters

Says its OK with the film :thumb:

If anything comes close and is stationary for more than 10 seconds,it's getting coated

I did everything but the seat and tires. FYI, use a foam paint-brush in order to get the tight spots.
