R1250RT - check your screens

I was bemoaning my fate to a fellow owner of a '20 RT today and he has had the same problem.
I removed the screen for a belated clean and then removed the cover beneath, to reveal that one of the lower hinge pins and its circlip had gone walkabout and the other had lost its retaining circlip was was half-way out. If both let go, then the screen can tip back and hit the rider in the face.
BMW sell the pins and circlips separately (at great expense, naturally), but you definitely don't want the full force of the wind to be supported by only one arm.
Anyone else come across this already.?
