I see you can now purchase panel bolts with BMW stamped on them. A lot cheaper than from the spares department

Interestingly, if you start an order but abandon it without filling in the payment details you often get email offers from Aliexpress lowering the price.

Cannot find variety pack w/ shouldered screws, no shoulders, different lengths.

I bought a set of 10 long shouldered and 10 short shouldered screws, which arrived today.

They are very similar to the genuine article complete with identical BMW markings, but whilst the torx head is not as clearly defined the torx tool sits into the head about as well as the BMW screw. However, I have doubts that they would be as easy to remove on a partially seized or overtightened screw.

I think they cost about £14 for 20 screws inc postage.

Ordered & received M5x.8 u-nuts & some shouldered & non-shouldered screws from Amazon. Very similar to OEM.

Since these screws are for panel attachment it is unlikely there would ever be a problem with seizing up or being overtightened. Low torque install application. However, if I were looking at load bearing bolts say M10 or M12 I wouldn't go near AliExpress. Chinese not renowned for adhering to specifications, even though I have found their quality of finish to be very good.

Nope, they are for earlier models

What would be handy is a set of the inner cups for the speakers on the 2014 onwards, to make the cavity behind the speaker covers more secure for carrying the puncture repair kits etc.

Anyone got any contacts in China?
