Is £10,200 a good or fair price for a 2019/69 R1250RT with just over 15k on it.
It has damage to the panniers which look like a stand still drop.

Is it an ‘Approved machine’ from a BMW dealership or another garage. The Approved bikes from BMW carry a longer warranty.

If i was paying that type of money the panniers and the rest of the bike would have to be mint.

This is the bike. I am so on the fence. I think the price reflects the damage.

This is a similar bike and price but carries a lifetime warranty, presumably you have to get it serviced there but…

Or for an approved BMW bike, full BMW service history and 2 yrs warranty -

The spec it not as good on that one, and no top box. Also it was CMC i was going to buy the 2016/66 from in my other thread. Not 100% sure on them anymore.

The fact it's £10,200 means they know it's actually worth less and is a big hint they'll negotiate. The damage to the panniers (note plural) is also a negotiation point, as is the scuff on the LH Cylinder Hear cover. All can be either be fix or lived with, but I certainly want money knocked for it. As for the warranty, check what is covered. BMW used warranties have one hell of a lot of exclusions and I can imagine third party ones have even more.

Ref CMC: I've only had one experience of them, and initially it wasn't good. A mis-sold / incorrectly described bike that whilst looking shiny had simply not been prepared properly. To their credit the Manager took over wen I complained and went out of his way to rectify the situation, which is how come I now own a '18 RT1250RT LE. If you can go for a 1250, the engine is much better.

The wife and i might take a drive up to CMC Cannock. I've had 2 bikes from them and the service was great.

I would like a white one, But because we both wear Hi-Viz and white helmets, i dont want to get in trouble.
It's bad enough on the white Varadero.

Try anything and everything you fancy… as a mate of mine said “so many bikes, so little time”

Considering it's 2024 in about 6 weeks, the bike has some cosmetic damage, and it's the old style clocks/headlights etc. I think you could do better by holding out for a bit or try and get some more money off - it is November after all

very over looked bike. Not a upright position as a RT but its all down to you if you can feel comfatable with the slight forward riding postion. I have a mate who owns a 2023 model with all the bell and whistle. He had to fit bar raisers and a higher screen. He is about 5ft6" in hight

came from a r1250rs brillant bike i'm 6ft 1 and added straight bar conversion risers and a givi screen and was perfect for just me on the bike and if my misses gives up coming on the back i would get one again, but as most of my riding at present is 2 up the rt makes more sense and far more comfortable 2 up than the rs.

I have just spoken to the dealer about the 2018/18 R1200RT for £9790.
They are going to send me some hi res photos of the bike.
He did say that there is a light scrap to the left pannier and some paint bubbling on the engine.
He did say they might be able to knock a little bit off, but not much.
Will wait and see the photos.

As long as it's not to bad, I can spend a bit of time on it over the winter and fix all the not so good bit.
I don't mind doing a little bit of work on it, as long as the price is right.
Only having 2 owners and only 6563 miles, does help it its faver.
