A little help from the wise ones please

Post by Batfastard »

Hi. Had noticed the lid on my top case never seemed to close properly, driving my ocd mad lol. Checking to day I noticed one part of the locking mechanism was not working. So, went to remove the inner section on the case but for the life of me I cannot work out how to get it out. Have removed all the screws that I can see but must be missing something. Seems to be secured at the handle side. Any ideas?

You could try spraying some silicone spray or penetrating oil to free-up the mechanism by exercising the latch till it frees up. Good luck.

I would use silicon spray rather than penetrating oil. Penetrating oil frequently has acetone in it. Acetone and plastic don't get along well :(
