One question i've not asked, is the RT a sort after bike with thieves like the GS is.
Or is it to much of a boring bike for them to be bothered with.

Re: Theft
Thieves don't care about the soul, just the £s, so anything they can turn a few quid on is in the cross hairs, and as the RT is still one of the most popular models it's going to get some attention

Re: Theft
try insurance comparrison between both models. Ok Gs riders drop them more but almost double when I tried. Gs definatly more disirable to thiefs as biger market in devlopiping world. I would prefer gs to rt on mud roads.

Re: Theft
I was commuting into Manchester for 3 years on my RT. On sperate occasions, bikes either side of mine had security chains ground off by scumbags on scooters (local office workers saw them and called the police). My RT was never touched! either they think its to hard to steal or they don't want it? This was the George St bike parking place (avoid it!)

Re: Theft
My 2014RT was stolen from London SW in 2016 as was another on the same date in Croydon. So far my 2018RT has not been touched, I have a tracker on it now that is well hidden.

Re: Theft
scumbags will nick anything for the rush. Ride them down the street and dump them
