I am an old FJR1300 Yamaha rider but jumped the fence today and traded for the RT. Only had time for a short ride but some observations. mirrors are going to take some getting used to. Any suggestions? Very nimble handling and tucks into the sweepers nicely. I thought it had hill hold but have yet to find it. Any of you guys here do your own valves? Thanks looking forward to learning more here.

Welcome to the forum
Hill hold is usually activated by pulling the brake lever firmly and then releasing it when at rest if you have it, so if you have done this and it does not engage it's likely not on your bike.
A lot of the 1250s are still under warranty, so I guess the number of people doing maintenance themselves will grow rapidly over the next few years as the bikes get older and the warranty expires
