What's behind the front engine casing?

Hi Guys,
A quick intro as I'm new on here. Had an F800GT for a few years, but recently bought a 2022 R1250RT in black. I'm in South Lincolnshire, UK, and bought the bike from Sycamore Motorrad in Peterborough.
There is quite a lot of salt corrosion on some of the screws and bolts, also on the swingarm and final drive. So I am gradually replacing parts with stainless steel or titanium. My question is, what is behind the front engine casing? It's the casing which usually gets all the crud on it off the road. It's held in place with 16 M6 x 20 socket button screws. I've got some black stainless steel screws coming, but want to know what's behind the casing before I start undoing them. I usually refer to a Haynes workshop manual but there isn't one available anywhere. Thanks in advance. :)

So if I replace one screw at a time I should be ok?

BMW have a problem with corrosion on engine cases & shaft drive housing, and they will replace the entire engine if you complain loud enough. As your bike is still within it's 3yr warranty you ought to be claiming under warranty before you go around changing screws or touching anything.

AS Capt Sisko Says

Take it back to the dealer and get BMW to replace under warranty.

Once its sorted get one of the protectors for the front of the engine I bought on of Temu for not a great deal of money and its great.
