Dont worry, the RT's not going anywhere, now a two bike family
So looking at insurance, Im with Carol Nash just now, £124 for the RT 6 months ago, done some on line quotes for the triumph with no no claims bonus, as Im using that on the BMW and getting around £120 ... So £250 ish for both
Then I done a muti bike quote with Carol Nash... £308! how does that compute..... what are others doing? any recomendations....
Thanks

sounds like a reasonable deal considering where car insurance is... do you know how much your saving by having a multi vehicle policy?

I got a quote from (IAM RoadSmart) Cornmarket,
https://www.cornmarketinsurance.co.uk/iam-roadsmart/ it was £30 more and didn't inc. breakdown cover which is £50 with CN.

I am with Carole Nash for two bikes. I don't find it any cheaper than having two seperate policies. I would like to split them into two policies but that means starting at zero no claims bonus again on one of the policies.

When I had 2 bikes the tiger 1050 was £120 on its own but adding an extra bike added £100. Fully comp. That was with CN. This was 4 years ago so it may have gone up since then

I may be wrong but you don’t just start at zero no claims….. you always will have zero no claims on the second bike….. You can tell it’s the insurance companies that make the rules up, but if you claim on the second bike you lose ncb on the first bike….. go figure

I have 4 policys. each have there own NCD.
Valadero has 0 NCD new policy last year.
Artie has 0 NCD new policy last year.
Gen1 Busa 10 years NCD (should be more, but some companys only go up to 9 )
Gen2 Busa 11 years NCD ( again should be more) (as the bike has now gone, the NCD will be used on Artie next renewal)

That makes sense …. But it’s insurance companies we are talking about
I was told a long time ago, probably 10 yrs ago, that the NCB was for the rider not the bike or policy…. With car and bike being separate. Can't remember which company I talked to..

I've never heard or been told that. The NCD is for the policy. Even the wife has 2 policys, one with 4 years NCD and one with 9 years NCD.

The cost of my CN Six Wheel Policy is made up as follows:-
Car £155 + Motorcycles (x2) £150 + Broker Fee £75 + UK & EU Breakdown £50 = £430.
The +9 years NCB is shown as the same for all 3 vehicles on one policy.

Some amazing prices for bike insurance stated here. I have a theft claim from 2021 that boosts my premiums I’m sure, but a multibike with Bemoto at around £400
