Anyone used alternative plugs to the NGK LMAR8D-J.Need some plugs tomorrow and at the moment the only place showing off the shelf stock is Eurocarparts at £24 a pop
I have a couple of places to call in the morning but if that fails I'm at Eurocarparts mercy.

The OEM part # is, 12 12 8 532 942 SPARK PLUG - NGK LMAR8D-J
These plugs are used in BMW & Mini cars, is there a dealer nearer than BMW Motorrad.

Good idea, untill you try and buy them.Absolutely not intrested unless you have a vehicle registration, will not sell them otherwise and they don't use the same NGK reference as everybody else does, has to be a BMW part number, even though it will be an NGK plug that they use.Coudn't make it up,twats
Eurocarparts was a waste of time so it's RAC back to Sycamore tomorrow (shut today)
On the brightside,I bought a coil removal tool, express delivery from Amazon to do the plug swap today.More money wasted

Try Sparkplugs uk.
Really good service and you might even get them for tomorrow.
Quicker than having RAC take the bike back to dealer to sit there for a couple of days " until we can get it in the workshop"

I did see that company but Eurocarparts showed them in stock(which they never did)Changing the plugs was just a chance thing.I picked the bike up Saturday after the dealer had done a 22k service, good when it went in,tractor when I rode it home. Now going back to dealer to sort it out

Blimey,
That's me well and truly told. Must make a note to myself to be more diligent in future. Incidentally I have sourced plugs and lots of other components from Ebay, which lets face it, is only a market place, but it's an individual's choice. Hope you manage to find what you need.

Autodoc list them for BMW & Mini,

I shall take note of the places suggested, and instead of waiting for things like this I'll get some in stock, thanks gents
One thing though(irrelevant to me at this time)but are there any alternatives to the BMW listed ones.I did find a thread on another site that gives a couple of suggestions, Denso was 1 suggestion but no-one had actually used anything but NGK

Cheers Steve, good read.Seems Boxflyer has the life span of these plugs to be around the 12k mark.Maybe(hopefully) having the PowerCommander and giving the bike some welly has knackered a plug, see what turns up at the dealer.Bit strange in went in spot on,came out running shite.
