Stalled on highway

Hello Everyone,
I bought used 2005 R1200RT on the 20th of June.
Mileage was 53.000 km. The seller told me the motorcycle was serviced a week ago and can be driven 10.000 km until the next service. Only issue was the fuel tank indicator (fuel strip) (it does not show the correct value)
The same day I bought the motorcycle, it was stalled on a busy highway and it was scary.
Here is what was happened in chronological order
- I have filled the tank full (95 octane unleaded) (vendor was BP)
- I was driving the motorcycle on the highway as usual.
doing 80-100 km/hours around 4000-5000 RPM
Occasionally there was a smell of a rich mixture of exhaust gas. I did not pay attention too much at that time because I did not know what was the source, I thought maybe it was coming from other vehicles.
- After driving it ~25 km, engine stalled without any error indicator on display
Motorcycle come to a stop
I turned the ignition off, waited a little and tried to start the engine.
Engine got started but quickly choked and stopped (tried 2-3 times and the result was the same)
- Road service put the motorcycle nearest safe parking spot
The motorcycle parked outside for 1 hour
After 1 hour I have tried starting it, this time engine run without stalling
I let it run on idle for 1 minute
Then I switched ignition off
I decided to give it a test drive
After riding it for 2-3 km and 5 minutes, the engine stalled again (without any fault indicator)
As happened before,
I turned the ignition down, waited a little and tried to start the engine.
Engine got started but quickly choked and stopped
As a last resort, I have tried revving the engine
After igniting it I have quickly revved it to 5000 rpm, this time engine did not come to a stop and I kept 5000 rpm for ~20 seconds
The outside temperature was around 16 Celcius
While revving it I saw from the mirror there was a white smoke at the exhaust
I let loose throttle, engine could able to keep it on idle
Without stopping the engine, I give it a test drive
After riding it for 5 minutes the engine stalled again and this time revving it did not help.
This was the last event
The motorcycle is now at an official dealer service. What could be the reason since this was a seriously dangerous thing to happen I am in fear if this would happen randomly in the future.
Thank you.
