Wunderlich Pannier Racks

Hopefully this is the last accessorie i need to buy (for now) for Artie.
My wife is only a short ass (5ft 4") and every time she gets on or off the bike she would kick the top of the panniers.
I looked for those thicker rubber matts things that go on top of the painners, without any luck (i've seen them in photos).
So i have ended up buying the Wunderlich racks that go on the panniers. Luckly a used pair came up on good old eBay.
Not sure if i'm going to keep them chrome or have them powder coated black.
They were not cheap at just under £165 posted, but a lot cheaper than buying them new at £360.
I can see the wife getting her foot stuck in the rack and going ass over tit and ending up on the ground
My nick name for her is " CYF " (ClumsY Fcuk)

The Wunderlich pannier racks are here and now fitted.
I was not sure about the chrome, but i like it.
The wife also like them and said how long before a spider builds it web in them

A cutting from the tree would be good.

I don't have a money tree sadly, just savings.
But, you can see i never pay RRP for anything i buy.
If i can find a good used item and it something i will use, i will buy it.
Its like the guy i bought these racks from, he had a top box rack to that i could of had for £95.
But because it not something i would use, i did not see the point in buying it.

The top box rack is great. We use a givi waterproof bag for the over night ferry (Hull - Rotterdam) stuff and rock strap it on the rack rather than delve into the top box or panniers for the onboard bit

Most or nearly all of my riding will be in the UK . And mainly day trips only.
But if i do ever need a top box rack i will get one of them non drill type, as i dont want to be drilling holes in a silly priced top box.
A rack like the one below i would get.
