Lockable mounts for Garmin zumo XT

I have just bought a Garmin Zumo XT for my BMW R1250 RT 2020.
When I rang I discovered that although I knew about the 3D AM unlockable mount their is a
lockable version at over twice the price.
Is the lockable one any good. Is it easy fitted and can you remove it from the BMW plate.
Does anyone have one. I know they are more secure but I would like to sometimes take it
off .
