I know that the wonder wheel does not work with the XT.
But what i would like to know is, does the bike info you get on the Nav 5 & 6. does the XT give this info to ?

Edit...

Also is there a charging problem when the XT is fitted to the Nav mount on the RT with a 3D adaptor.

No you get no information on the zumo from the bike

There was a charging issue which I discovered a fix for and reported it to the developer.

The chip he used for the adapter was dropping the voltage below 5v once the bike started thus stopping it charging after a while

I replaced the chip with one that could adjust the voltage and I set it to about 5.2 volts and it's worked perfect since.

I let the developer know and I believe he fixed the issue

Thank you for the Stu :thumb:

Also will the XT fit using its own mounting in the same place as the bmw unit, if the bmw navigator mount is removed.

It will but it's a massive pain to get it out as the release is on the top of the mount and you need a tool to get in to release it

More hassle than it's worth in my opinion

I have the 3D adapter and if I’m removing the XT I just press the button on top of the dash and remove the whole thing. Easy. The actual XT release is hidden by the upper dash panel so if you can get to it and take the XT off the mount is left.

I would NOT remove the BMW mount.

I have fitted the Wunderlich/Oldtimers Satnav electric locking device to my non-TFT bike. This locks the BMW release button and the AD3P adapter fit is so precise that the XT release button cannot be accessed.

I leave the XT locked onto the bike for rest stops, but don't chance it overnight.
